I don’t think this game needs any introduction except that it’s FINALLY here!!
Lastnight, a star studded party at London’s Old Billingsgate Market took place to celebrate the release of the most anticipated game for 2011; but let’s be honest, the game has got alot to live up to. The previous Call of Duty Modern Warfare game took in $550M over 5 days which was beaten by the more recent Black Ops title which took $650M within the same period. If the latest instalment of the Call of Duty Modern Warfare game breaks the previous record of $650M, the Guinness Book of World Records will have to be re-written.
It hasn’t been plain sailing for the Call of Duty franchise over the last few years as the franchise was strongly criticised with the previous instalment Black Ops being called “incomplete” due to software problems. Many updates later and the game seems to be stable but the fans quickly turned their back on the game and in order to go forward, Activision had to go backwards.
Activision teamed up again with Modern Warfare previous developers Infinity Ward to make the most anticipated follow up within the record breaking franchise.
Today I’m sure there are a few million people who have taken a day (or more) off work to play the game and I’m also sure that a few companies will have a few people off sick for the same reason.
Let me know what you think of the game and if you were one of the many people who queued outside a Game, a Gamestation, an Asda/Walmart, was it worth it?
Hope to hear from you!
I think these are the weapons of mass destruction because without them we’d never know:
– If Mario rescued Princess Peach
– If Sonic beat Dr. Eggbert
– If Mario rescued Princess Peach again
– If the Origami Killer was caught
– If you got the 50 kill streak to kill your enemies with a Nuke
– If Mario rescued Princess Peach again!
The list is endless. Let me know what you picked
